How to download TikTok videos

A short guide for iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac — no app or extension required.

Step 1 — Copy the TikTok link

In the TikTok app, open the video or photo post, tap the Share arrow and choose Copy link. On the web, copy the URL from your browser's address bar. Both short (vm.tiktok.com) and full links work.

Step 2 — Paste it into the downloader

Go to the homepage, paste the link into the field and press Download. We fetch the post details and list every available file.

Step 3 — Choose quality and format

Select HD MP4 for the sharpest copy, SD MP4 for a smaller file, MP3 to keep only the sound, or JPG to save the cover and slideshow images. File size is shown where the source reports it.

Step 4 — Save the file

Press the download button and the progress bar tracks the transfer. On Android the file goes to your Downloads folder; on iPhone, Safari saves it to Files › Downloads, from where you can move a video into Photos.

Troubleshooting

If a link fails, check that the post is public and not age-restricted, then re-copy the share link. Very new posts occasionally take a minute before an HD source is available — try the SD option in the meantime.
